Apprenticeship & Traineeship Pathway
Want to earn and learn?
Apprenticeships and traineeships are a fantastic way to start your career while gaining a nationally recognised qualification. Designed for entry-level positions, in most cases, as an apprentice or trainee you do not need prior work experience. While you’re learning the role and working towards the completion of your qualification, you will be earning a wage and have responsibilities within your job.
The duration of an apprenticeship or traineeship will often range from one to four years depending on the qualification, and employment status. An apprenticeship or traineeship is governed by a training contract, which is a legally binding agreement, between the apprentice or trainee and the employer, to work and train together for a length of time.
What is a Traineeship?
A traineeship can take anywhere from approximately 12 months to three years to complete. During this time the trainee will undertake training in their vocational area, and upon successful completion, they will have a nationally recognised qualification in their vocational area; for example childcare, business administration, or tourism management.
Who is Eligible?
To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be aged 13 years or over, have a workplace address and be an Australian Citizen, a New Zealand Citizen with a valid passport or be a Permanent Resident. To discuss any additional requirements or for more information please contact our team who will be able to help you to determine your eligibility.
What are the Costs?
Our team can help you to determine if you're eligible for the Queensland Government's free apprenticeships and traineeships. If you're eligible, you'll be able to complete your apprenticeship or traineeship free of charge including all course and contribution costs. If you are not eligible for government funding there are fee for service options available where you will cover the costs of your course fees.
